Spectra, operators of the Tribute Communities Centre, launched an auction this week of autographed guitars which will benefit Grandview Children’s Centre and the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

A myriad of artists that performed at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa supported the initiative throughout 2017 and 2018 including Dierks Bentley, Dean Brody, Johnny Reid, Tim Hicks, Judas Priest, Arkells, Our Lady Peace, and many more.

“After the success of the guitar auctions in 2017, we wanted to continue this initiative as giving back is a priority for us at Spectra. We were able to raise and donate $3,181 amongst the Canadian Cancer Society, Distress Centre Durham, and the Canadian Mental Health Association-Durham through the auction of three guitars,” said William Balfour, Assistant General Manager and Director of Marketing and Group Sales for Spectra. “We are ecstatic with the artists’ responses again this year and we’re hopeful that fans in the community will bid on these collector guitars and that it will be a big win for the charities.”

The starting bid on each guitar is $300.00 CAD.

Spectra is always giving back when they can in Oshawa and the Durham Region. Spectra regularly works with charitable organizations for fundraising and special events, they organize their annual Touch-a-Truck event and their Durham Central Adult Hockey League hosts food drives and diaper drives to name a few.
