Ice Rentals
Skate where the Oshawa Generals skate.
The Tribute Communities Centre boasts two NHL sized ice surfaces with year-round availability for practices, games, tournaments, as well as private or corporate events. The pride of the Tribute Communities Centre is Rink 1, which is home for Oshawa Generals games. With Prospects Bar and Grill overlooking Rink 1, retired Oshawa Generals banners hanging from the rafters and the sheer size of the facility from ice level, users of all ages find tremendous joy having the opportunity to skate in such a fantastic setting.
Rink 1 Rates and Facility Information
- Non-Prime Hours: Starting at $225.00 per hour.
- Prime Hours: Starting at $304.63 per hour.
- All hours are subject to HST and applicable ice insurance. Prime time hours subject to $25 City of Oshawa surcharge.
- Prime hours include evenings after 4:00pm, weekends, and holidays.
- Please contact the Ice Sales Department for tournament rates.
- Rink 1 is an NHL sized ice surface with spectator seating for 5,134.
- Five dressing rooms are available with an allocation schedule displayed on the TV in the main hallway. User must provide their own lock(s) for their assigned dressing room(s).
- Rink 1 entrances are through Gate 1 on Athol Street East.
- Additional amenities such as catering, room rentals, videoboard usage, in-house audio and ticketing are available for parties and corporate events at additional costs.
Rink 2 Rates and Facility Information
- Non-Prime Hours: Starting at $225.00 per hour.
- Prime Hours: Starting at $286.95 per hour.
- All hours are subject to HST and applicable ice insurance. Prime time hours subject to $25 City of Oshawa surcharge.
- Prime hours include evenings after 4:00pm, weekends, and holidays.
- Please contact the Ice Sales Department for tournament rates.
- Rink 2 is an NHL sized ice surface with spectator seating for 200.
- Six dressing rooms are available with an allocation schedule displayed on the TV in the Rink 2 entrance vestibule. User must provide their own lock(s) for their assigned dressing room(s).
- Rink 2 entrance is located on the corner of Bruce Street and Red Tilson Lane.
- Additional amenities such as catering, room rentals, in-house audio and ticketing are available for parties and corporate events at additional costs.
Ice User Policies
- Each hour of ice includes a 10-minute flood at the end of 50 minutes.
- Users must wait for the ice resurfacer to leave the ice before stepping on. No exceptions.
- CSA approved helmets are mandatory for all persons playing hockey as well as for ice users five years of age and younger. CSA approved helmets are highly recommended to all users.
- Users seven years of age or younger must be accompanied by a guardian 14 years or older.
- Skates must be worn on ice. Only designated skating tools are permitted.
- Entry to the building is permitted 30 minutes prior to your rental and exit is required 30 minutes following your rental.
- All persons associated with ice rental are restricted to dressing rooms, ice pad and lower bowl only. Any damage or mischief is the responsibility of the contract holder.
- Oak View Group and the City of Oshawa are not responsible for loss due to theft, vandalism, or misuse of the facility. Report any loss or theft to arena staff immediately.
- No outside alcohol is permitted inside the building.
- Parking for ice user groups may be available in the Tribute Communities Centre south lot on non-event days on Bruce Street. If the lot is not available, on-street parking is available and is free on weekends as well as after 6:00pm on weekdays. Accessible parking can be found on Red Tilson Lane, in the south parking lot or on the street.
- Respect of Oak View Group and Tribute Communities Centre staff is mandatory at all times.
