Event Details
Oak View Group, operators of the Tribute Communities Centre, is excited to announce the return of Touch-a-Truck. Oshawa Power presents this year's tenth annual Touch-a-Truck event and will be on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-West Durham and Northumberland. This free community event will be hosted outside and around the Tribute Communities Centre and is a fun, hands-on event that allows children of all ages to get up close and personal with more than 40 vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Children will love the interactive displays and the opportunity to learn about the vehicles from the drivers.
"Touch-a-Truck is not just an event; it's a dynamic experience where children and families come together to explore, learn, and make memories," said Oak View Group's William Balfour, Assistant General Manager of Tribute Communities Centre. "For ten years, this event has ignited imaginations, fostered connections, and supported Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-West Durham and Northumberland. Get ready to feel like a kid again and join us for a day of excitement, community, and giving back!"
While admission to the event is complimentary for all community members, Oak View Group encourages attendees to contribute whatever they can to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-West Durham and Northumberland at one of their booths. Indulge your taste buds with our charity BBQ, as we gather to make a difference. While Touch-a-Truck offers free entry, certain activities such as face painting and the BBQ, may involve nominal fees.
Don't forget Kars on King is also happening on Friday, August 23 in downtown Oshawa!
*We will always make our best efforts to hold the Touch-a-Truck event as scheduled but the event is subject to weather conditions.
